Born out of the need to create mountain bikes tailored for women, Juliana Bicycles has developed into the industry leader not only in performance bikes but as a leader in the women’s outdoor space. As part of their 2020 marketing efforts, Juliana Bicycles came to us to produce a series called “Tech Tuesdays” in which over the course an instructor teachers riders the skills needed to work on their bikes from their own garage. All done under the umbrella of a world-wide pandemic, we worked closely with their marketing department to pitch creative ideas, locations, and ultimately create this 5-part series for distribution on www.julianabicycles.com and IGTV.
IAN BOSWELL
As a life long cyclist, Ian Boswell has been riding bikes and competing as long as he can remember. When a bad crash and an ensuing concussion derailed his professional road cycling career he turned his attention in a new direction. Gravel Biking. A fast growing segment in the bike world, gravel biking is taking him back to his roots. Now as more of a privateer, Ian is able to cultivate unique partnerships with companies like Specialized, Wahoo and iKOR Labs.
LATOYA SHAUNTAY SNELL
Latoya Shauntay Snell doesn’t look, sound or act like the type of person who competed in 30 marathon’s in one year, but that is exactly what makes her unique. Brooklyn born and raised, she has alway pushed the envelope, questioning stereotypes and inspiring followers from around the world. We documented her life through racing and in the kitchen as she strives to not only inspire but to also leave her mark on this world.
THE SILVERTON PROJECT
Rodeo Adventure Labs is a boutique gravel bike manufacturer based in Denver, Colorado. Each year a select group of customers, partners and staff are invited to take part in a week long adventure testing out new frame designs in some of the toughest terrain in the state. We went with to capture the struggle, joy and beauty of the trip through remote mining roads in and around Silverton, Colorado.
ATHLETES IN TANDEM
Damien Lopez Alphonso lost both his arms when he was 12 years old following complications after being struck with 13,000 volts of electricity. What would have broken most, pushed Damien to become a world class Paralympic cyclist. After decades competing around the world, bad luck veered its head again when he was hit by buss while training in his hometown of Havana, Cuba. With the help of a Colorado based non-profit, Athletes in Tandem, Damien has his eyes set yet again competing in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. We have been documenting his journey in Cuba and the United States as he pushes himself to compete on the ultimate stage.
CORNER BOXING CLUB
Who’s in your corner? The Corner Boxing club is a community centric gym in Boulder, Colorado where all walks of life are welcome. With a focus on dynamic functional training and proper technique at The Corner clients find a second home and a level of conditioning they never thought you were capable of. We were tasked with creating 3 promotional videos, capturing photos and promoting and live streaming the annual fundraising boxing event, Founder Fights.
LCM LANDSCAPE & DESIGN
A full-service landscape design company based in Elbert, Colorado and serving the entire front range market, LCM prides itself on giving each project a personal touch. The owner, Landon Malave, personally oversees every project and his passion for designing natural water features is what distinguishes the company. We have been working with LCM Landscape & Design for 5 years capturing photos, producing videos and shining a light on the growing company.
